Job Requirements

Starting Pay Rate: Commission Based

As a Lead Massage Therapist, you'll provide top-notch massage therapy services while staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and equipment. You'll follow state-certified procedures and spa policies, promote our range of products and services, and ensure smooth scheduling and effective training for the team. You'll maintain inventory, communicate with spa leadership, and uphold a 40-hour workweek with 30 hours dedicated to hands-on therapy. Your role includes enhancing team skills and ensuring our guests leave relaxed and satisfied.

What you will do as a Lead Massage Therapist:
• Demonstrates the ability to accurately schedule employee’s based on operational needs and always receives approval from Manager/Supervisor.
• Communicates effectively with Spa Leadership with regard to staff, room, product and equipment issues.
• Continually trains new and existing employees in all massage standards, procedures, and newly offered types of spa treatments. Ensures that employees continually apply training techniques and holds group training sessions when necessary.
• Effectively applies external manipulation to stimulate circulation, reduce muscle tension and promote relaxation.
• Adheres to all Spa policies and procedures regarding sanitation of materials, health and safety.
• Always organizes room and supplies prior to and after performing services.
• Responsible for maintaining Back Bar inventories.
• Always approves or rejects schedule changes in a timely manner.
• Consistently assists with monitoring recruitment needs as well as assisting with interviewing prospective employment candidates.

Work Experience

To be successful as a Lead Massage Therapist, you'll need:
• State certification
• To have experience/training in Swedish massage, reflexology, exfoliation treatments and herbal wraps
• Previous experience as a massage therapist (required)
• To be able to work autonomously.
• Must be able to
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Ability to sustain physical exertion for periods of up to 100 minutes.
• To tolerate exposure to all spa products, oils and aromas.
