Job Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding customer service to ensure everyone who walks through our door feels welcomed and valued
Communicate effectively to ensure clients are satisfied with the services rendered
Perform hair and beard cutting, trimming, and styling according to the clients’ preferences, along with other services, including but not limited to massages (arm, hand, and scalp), color services, shaving, and waxing
Perform other services such as utilizing our POS system accurately to add notes in client’s accounts
Assist with marketing and sales by educating clients on products, services, and promotions

Form bonds with loyal customers and remember their hairstyle preferences

Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking a professional and polished candidate for the Adjunct Instructor – Nail Tech (Part-Time) position in our Cosmetology department of the Academic & Student Affairs division. This position is located at Atlanta Technical College’s Main Campus, just south of Downtown Atlanta, Georgia.
Under the general supervision of the Dean of Business & Public Services Technologies and the Chair of Cosmetology department, the Adjunct Instructor – Nail Tech (Part-Time) will play a pivotal role in teaching our Master Nail Technician program to students at Atlanta Technical College and guiding them through theoretical and practical courses associated with advanced techniques in nail care. This is a part-time position, up to twenty-nine (29) hours per week.

Services Provided
This role focuses on non-braiding services, including:
Silk presses and blowouts

Services are offered by appointment and select walk-ins, depending on the scheduled day.

Under the general supervision of the Dean of Business & Public Services Technologies and the Chair of Cosmetology department, the Adjunct Instructor – Nail Tech (Part-Time) will play a pivotal role in teaching our Master Nail Technician program to students at Atlanta Technical College and guiding them through theoretical and practical courses associated with advanced techniques in nail care. This is a part-time position, up to twenty-nine (29) hours per week.

The job duties include, but may not be limited to, the following:
Ensure the provision of high-quality discussions, learning, and communication. Grade course materials such as quizzes and tests. Follow and comply with all state compliance laws and requirements (e.g., HIPAA, esthetics regulations, OSHA). Prepare and present program materials to meet program/course objectives (e.g., PowerPoint slides and class assignments). Maintain accurate student attendance, assignments, and grades in the College's Learning Management System. Assist students with navigating both online and in-person learning environments. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Oral and written communication skills Skill in effectively explaining concepts and techniques to students Ability to patiently provide support to students as they develop competencies in Master Nail Technician modalities and techniques Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with adult learners Willingness to commit to ongoing professional development as well as continuing independent education Willingness to maintain your Nail Technician License and a Nail Technician Instructor License.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent Must possess a current Nail Technician or Master Cosmetologist License in the State of Georgia. Must possess a current Nail Technician or Master Cosmetology Instructor License in the State of Georgia. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint etc.) Proven three (3) years of experience as a licensed nail tech.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess and demonstrate the following:
Proven teaching experience Knowledge of student information systems
