Duties
• Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage to meet individual client needs.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand specific pain points and develop customized treatment plans.
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain treatment procedures, address concerns, and ensure comfort throughout each session.
• Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, client progress, and any relevant medical or physiological information.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to sanitation standards and occupational health guidelines.
• Stay updated on the latest massage therapy techniques and industry best practices through ongoing education.
• Promote additional wellness services offered by the facility to enhance client satisfaction and retention.
Requirements
• Valid massage therapy license or certification recognized by local regulatory authorities.
• Proven experience in various massage modalities including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage.
• Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy to accurately assess client needs and tailor treatments accordingly.
• Excellent patient communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly and empathetically.
• Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage practices.
• Certifications in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and first aid are required for safety compliance.
• Prior experience in occupational health or med spa environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
