Manicurist and Nail Technician

Responsibilities
• Perform a variety of nail treatments such as manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic nail applications, and nail extensions with precision and care.
• Apply color theory principles to recommend suitable shades and designs that complement clients’ styles and preferences.
• Ensure all tools and workstations adhere to salon safety protocols by following strict sanitation and disinfection procedures.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide expert advice on nail care, and upsell retail products when appropriate.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to salon safety standards to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in nail art, techniques such as dermabrasion or esthetic laser treatments, and industry best practices.
• Assist with retail sales of nail products and accessories to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.

Requirements
• Proven experience working as a manicurist or nail technician within the beauty industry.
• Strong knowledge of nail care techniques including manicure, pedicure, gel manicures, acrylic application, and nail extensions.
• Familiarity with color theory, sanitation standards, disinfection procedures, and salon safety protocols.
• Excellent communication skills for client consultation and providing personalized service.
• Ability to perform detailed work efficiently while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
• Certification in cosmetology or related licensing as required by local regulations.
• Additional skills such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, hair styling or barbering are a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
