Massage Wellness & Beyond is an established, independently owned wellness center and day spa that has served the Lansdale community for more than 30 years. We work with women and men of all ages who want to feel better-whether they are seeking stress relief, relaxation, pain reduction, greater mobility, recovery support, or a more holistic approach to their well-being.

We are currently seeking a Pennsylvania Licensed Massage Therapist for a full-time or part-time opportunity. We welcome both experienced therapists and newly licensed professionals who demonstrate strong hands-on fundamentals, professionalism, emotional maturity, and a genuine desire to learn and grow.

This is not a conveyor-belt massage environment.

Our therapists are given the time and support to listen, understand what each client needs, personalize the session, and recommend appropriate next steps. We believe that helping a client understand how to continue feeling better-including rebooking, self-care recommendations, or referrals to other appropriate services, is part of providing excellent care.

ABOUT MASSAGE WELLNESS & BEYOND

MWB combines therapeutic massage and bodywork with a broader whole-person approach to wellness. Our center offers massage, assisted stretching, lymphatic work, energy work, skincare, red light therapy, infrared sauna, ionic foot detox, pressotherapy, wellness services, and more.

You are not expected to know or perform all of these services.

Your primary role will be providing excellent massage therapy. Our expanded wellness services create opportunities for collaboration, appropriate cross-referrals, continued learning, and professional growth. Training may be available for therapists interested in developing additional skills or specialties.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Conduct thoughtful client consultations and identify each client’s goals, needs, preferences, and areas of concern

• Provide customized Swedish, relaxation, therapeutic, and deep-tissue massage and any other modalities you are or become trained in

• Maintain accurate intake information and timely session notes

• Educate clients about appropriate follow-up care, session frequency, self-care, and relevant MWB services

• Proactively support rebooking and the development of lasting client relationships

• Recommend appropriate enhancements or retail products when they genuinely support the client’s goals-never through pressure or aggressive sales tactics

• Prepare, reset, and sanitize the treatment room according to professional standards

• Assist with light laundry or shared studio-reset responsibilities when needed

• Manage your availability responsibly and communicate schedule changes promptly

• Attend scheduled team meetings, training, or continuing-education opportunities

• Participate, when planned and coordinated in advance, in occasional workshops, special events, photography, educational content, or community-promotional activities

• Collaborate with the front desk and other practitioners to create a warm, consistent client experience

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

The right therapist is more than technically capable. We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a current Pennsylvania Massage Therapist license

• Is proficient in Swedish, relaxation, therapeutic, and deep-tissue massage

• Genuinely cares about clients and takes personal responsibility for the quality and continuity of their care

• Is dependable, punctual, professional, and attentive to detail

• Notices what needs to be done and takes appropriate initiative

• Is coachable, curious, and willing to continue developing professionally

• Communicates with warmth, honesty, and emotional intelligence

• Can work independently while contributing to a collaborative team

• Understands that rebooking and thoughtful recommendations are part of excellent client care

• Wants to build a loyal clientele and become part of a respected, established practice

• Values high standards, ethical care, and a calm, welcoming environment

Experience in lymphatic drainage, Thai massage, assisted stretching, cupping, prenatal massage, energy work, or other therapeutic specialties is a welcome bonus, but it is not required. Many specialty skills can be developed through training and mentorship.

SCHEDULING

We currently have opportunities available across Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with limited Wednesday availability. We are open to discussing schedules ranging from one dependable weekly shift to a fuller three-, four-, or five-day schedule.

The most important requirement is not a particular number of days-it is a consistent schedule that both the therapist and our clients can rely on.

COMPENSATION AND ROLE STRUCTURE

Compensation is based on experience, skill level, specialties, availability, and the agreed-upon role structure. Hourly-plus-commission and commission-based arrangements may be available, with gratuities paid in addition.

The final employment or independent-contractor structure will be determined according to the actual responsibilities and working relationship-not simply the candidate’s preference-and will be discussed transparently during the interview process.
