We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Salon Assistant and Stylist to join our team at Salon JKU in Center City Philadelphia. As a Salon Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our salon operations and providing exceptional customer service. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about the beauty industry and wants to gain hands-on experience in a professional salon environment.
As a stylist you will be working with highly creative and unique talent. We are flooded with calls from new clients, so the possibilities for growth are high.
Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist stylists and technicians with various salon services, including hair styling, treatments, keeping the day running smoothly for clients and staff.
- Sanitize and maintain salon tools, equipment, and workstations to ensure a clean and safe environment for both staff and clients
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and managing the front desk
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and relay information to stylists and technicians
- Utilize salon software to manage appointments, track inventory, and process payments
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a salon or beauty-related field is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of hair hair styling is a plus
- Familiarity with salon software systems is beneficial
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively
