Hair Stylist

Overview
Join our boutique salon team as a Hair Stylist and unleash your creativity while delivering exceptional beauty experiences in a safe and supportive salon environment.

Duties
• Provide professional hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, styling, hair coloring and specialized treatments.
• Perform color applications based on color theory principles to achieve desired results while maintaining salon standards of sanitation and safety.
• Opportunities to perform additional beauty services such as makeup application, eyelash extensions, and wedding styling.
• Manage client consultations to understand their needs, recommend suitable treatments, and upsell retail products to enhance their experience.
• Maintain salon cleanliness and sanitation protocols rigorously, ensuring all tools and workstations meet health standards.
• Use salon software like PHOREST for appointment scheduling, client records management, and front desk responsibilities.

Qualifications
• Valid cosmetology or barbering license with at least one uear experience in hair styling, and hair coloring.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients, understand their preferences, and provide personalized recommendations.
• Knowledge of salon software systems like PHOREST for scheduling and client management.
• Expertise in sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for both clients and staff.
• Passion for continuous learning in areas like color theory, hair cutting techniques, barbering skills including straight razor shaves, and new beauty trends. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
