Duties
• Perform a variety of hair styling services including cutting, coloring, extensions, braiding, threading, and styling for clients of all ages.
• Apply professional makeup for special occasions, photoshoots, or daily wear, ensuring each look complements the client’s features and preferences.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene by properly sanitizing tools, implements, and workstations in accordance with industry regulations.
• Consult with clients to understand their desired looks, offering expert advice on hair care routines, color theory, and suitable styles.
• Manage appointments efficiently using salon software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms; upsell retail products to enhance client results.
• Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair styling, barbering (including straight razor shaves), and customer service best practices.
• Stay current with industry trends in hair coloring, extensions, makeup application, and nail care to provide innovative services that delight clients.

Skills
• Proven experience working in the beauty industry with strong skills in hair styling, coloring, extensions, and makeup application.
• Knowledge of salon software systems like MINDBODY for scheduling and client management.
• Expertise in sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Skilled in barbering techniques including straight razor shaves when applicable.
• Deep understanding of hair care products and techniques to promote healthy hair growth and maintenance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and deliver personalized recommendations.
• Experience with store management tasks such as inventory control and retail upselling.
• Familiarity with nail care services is a plus but not required; a versatile skill set is highly valued.
