We are looking for an experienced stylist to join our team who is good at precision cutting (short and/or long hair). Ideal candidate has some clientele in Charlotte already and can start with us soon. If this sounds like you - email our owner directly: storm@thejaderabbit.com.

We are moving to a larger location at the end of August 2026 and will be hiring additonal stylists and barbers for that start time, so we welcome all applications!

Job Description:

We are seeking passionate and skilled Cosmetologists/Barbers to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing exceptional customer service, creating personalized experiences for clients, and contributing to a positive team culture. As a Cosmetologist at our gender-inclusive barbershop, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele and showcase your creativity through various hair and grooming services.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform a variety of hair services, including cuts, beard & face grooming, styling, scalp massages and treatments for clients of all genders. (We don't color!)
• Consult with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and desired outcomes.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and products in the beauty and grooming industry.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all clients and team members.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat visits.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:
• Valid cosmetology or barber license in North Carolina.
• Proven experience in cutting hair (photos/instagram profile is great!)
• Great at communicating
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• A passion for inclusivity and diversity in the beauty industry.
• Ability to work +18 hours a week, somewhat flexible schedule

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
