The Role
Job OverviewJob Title: Natural Hairstylist & Assistant Salon Manager
About the Role Need a talented, passionate Natural Hairstylist/Cosmetologist. Beyond providing expert natural hair services, you will serve as a trusted assistant and co-manager—helping maintain a peaceful environment, managing social media, and assisting with daily operations.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
• Styling & Treatments: Provide expert natural hair care (twists, braids, locs, silk presses, protective styles, extensions) and treatments (deep conditioning, color, protein, loc detox) for clients of all ages.
• Prompt and Punctual: Must be great with time. Must be able to be available and ready at least 20-30 min before clientele arrives. Must show up when expected.
• Salon Support & Management: Assist with daily operations and co-management. Utilize Vagaro software for scheduling and payments (training provided).
• Social Media & Engagement: Create, edit, and post video content to drive engagement. Must have active social media page on Instagram or Tiktok.
• Environment & Care: Maintain daily sanitation standards, offer expert hair care advice, upsell services, and cultivate a restorative, calming atmosphere.
• Requirements: Active Cosmetology License, MUST HAVE an established client base, strong people skills, reliability, humility and teachable mindset. Available 3–5 days per week (Tuesday–Saturday 9A-5P Flexible hours).
Compensation & Perks
• Generous Split: You keep 75% of your earnings from your clientele (25% salon split to Start).
