Abby was my operator for my color, cut and style and I was just thrilled at how it turned out! The color was glowing when she finished everything! This is such a wonderful and affordable way for me to keep up with my color and cuts! I highly recommend the professional phase 2 students. They are supervised by their excellent instructor so you don't need to stress about mistakes because in the many years I've been coming, that never happened.

Trinity gave me the BEST blowout!!! She and Ava were so kind to me during my appointment and really loved the school! The instructors were also fantastic and created a great space to be in! Tiffany and Gee Gee were very knowledgeable and welcoming! Jacob also gave a great tour and provided great insight into the cosmetology program! Cannot recommend more!

I had a wonderful experience at the Paul Mitchell School. I received a full head of highlights, and they got me to the perfect caramel blonde. I also received a hair treatment, my hair has never felt this healthy and strong after highlights. I had two incredible students working on me with the guidance of their instructor, and I felt well taken care of the entire time. I really appreciated the time, care, and attention to detail they put into my service. I highly recommend this school if you’re looking for beautiful results and a great experience. Excited for my next appointment!

Yesterday was my first experience as a client at Paul Mitchell the School Charlotte and from the first moment I walked in until I left I was impressed. Being a Cosmetologist myself (which I did not let anyone know until my service was completed, obviously my daughter knew) I was a tad nervous and was quickly settled. The consultation was spot on, wash room neat and up to modern salon standards. Laney was super nervous as I was her first live cut and being a stylist myself my hair is not the normal layer cut. It is razored, textured, messy, and all over the place. She was overwhelmed. In walks what I would call the most calm, reassuring, and helpful instructor that she needed at the time Gee Gee, she broke down my layers for Laney and helped her through the cut step by step. My over all experience was a 5 especially with my daughter of course and this particular instructor.

I took my two daughters (ages 10 and 16) to the salon Monday for cuts and color. I would like to start positive by saying that most of the people were friendly and one of the managers was very helpful with fixing my youngest daughter's hair. I also appreciated the fact that the student was honest about not knowing what to do and asking the instructor for help. Now for the rest of our experience: They are understaffed, too few instructors to adequately monitor and help students. The music playing in the studio had cussing and explicit language in it, which is not fun to listen to as an adult, never mind having my children exposed to that. During one of the songs, the student sitting directly in front of my youngest daughter was gyrating and grinding to the song, very sensually. She also had a loud discussion with one of the other students about how she was throwing a Playboy themed lingerie party that weekend. As for the haircut, one side is a little longer than the other and I had to cut some stray hairs that got missed. Daughter 2: She asked for balayage highlights so that her hair at the top remained her natural light brown color, so that as it grows it will not show extreme contrast in the roots. The instructor told the student what to do and then left, rarely checking on the student. Another instructor came over to see how they were doing after they had already bleached the top of her hair, not knowing what my daughter had requested, so she thought it was fine. Another student offered to help with the foil and they talked about how they didn't know what they were doing, the main girl saying she had never done highlights before. My daughter ended up with the top of her head fully bleach blonde and darker as it goes down. It took 4.5 hours just to do the top and they ran out of time (past closing hours), so the rest of her head wasn't finished. Her dark roots are showing. Also, it took 3 people to trim her hair and get the face framing layers right. The back bottom layers look chopped...don't blend. The main student took off a lot more hair than she had requested. We were charged $80 for her dye and cut when professionals have quoted $90-110 for the highlights alone. Now we are paying another $80 just to fix the dye, so we definitely didn't save money. We watched as one client cried from her dye being done incorrectly and another chewing out the front desk because she said they didn't finish her hair and she didn't want to pay until they did. I've called two days in a row requesting an instructor to call me back to arrange fixing my daughter's hair. They still haven't returned my calls.

This school is not conducting business the correct way. They do not provide the students with any accolades for the work they complete on their clients. Students put their heart and soul into their craft and should be acknowledged for their work. I do not recommend this school to any future stylists.

To be clear, Genna (my hair stylist and student) did nothing wrong. She was professional, honest, and tried to do what was best for my hair. On my initial appointment, I was supposed to be with Genna, but the front desk made a mistake and told me she was unavailable. I was placed with a different student even though Genna was there and available. I truly believe all of this could have been avoided if I had just been scheduled with her from the start. On my initial appointment I was with a different student and left unhappy with my hair. I returned on a different day to have Genna fix it and clearly explained my concerns. However, due to her instructor’s direction, my hair ended up looking worse. In one day, I spent $80 on the initial service and another $90 trying to get it fixed, and still left more unhappy than when I walked in, which is completely unacceptable. I was also at the salon from 10 AM to 5 PM, which could have been avoided and is completely unreasonable. The problem was Jenelle(Paul Mitchel School Director) stepping in and overriding her, which led to my hair turning out terrible. What’s worse is the salon refused to take responsibility or properly fix their mistake. The way staff spoke to their student was completely unprofessional and honestly unacceptable and made me extremely uncomfortable. I will not be coming back to this school. I am extremely dissatisfied with how this was handled by Jenelle and Tiffany (School Directors), who took zero accountability and made no real effort to fix my hair before I left. I expect management to reach out and fix this mistake promptly. The way this was handled sets a terrible example for students, teaching them to avoid accountability instead of correcting mistakes. The instructors seemed more concerned about protecting their product and money than fixing the issue or even offering a discount. The pictures included are hkw my hair looked after second appt. and my inspo picture.
