I had my hair done by Jerica and Natalie who were both amazing! I also talked to Rylie who was really sweet. I was greeted by their supervisor (I think Ronnie was her name) and she was super kind and all smiles. I got an all over hair color from my natural brown to black. They showed me the color my hair was going to be and asked me many questions along the way to make sure it’s what I wanted. I was nervous going in because of some of the reviews, but they did a fantastic job on my hair and I’m going back next week for a facial. Nothing but good things from my experience!!
They did a great trim for me. I'll definitely go there again. It is a school so they are learning, but the supervisor does a great job of keeping tabs on each student and guiding them to improve.
First, let me say, that I’ve had my granddaughter’s hair highlighted twice and cut twice. I’ve had three haircuts there and a pedicure, and my granddaughter got her nails done. We were happy with every service, and your staff was above friendly. Friday I went in at 3 o’clock to get a haircut. There were four girls standing out front taking a break. I was ignored when I went in, so I stopped one of the girls and asked if she could check me in. She said she’d have to talk to her supervisor. The supervisor came out and asked if I had an appointment and I said no and she said well then we can’t see you till next week. There were only two or three clients getting their hair done, several girls with nothing to do. She said it was too late, it doesn’t take three hours to get a haircut. I questioned as to why there were girls standing out front and girls sitting at their station not busy and she said they were all getting ready to pack up and leave. I left and two of the four original girls were back outside taking a break. I sat in my car for about 45 minutes, the time it usually takes to get a haircut. I made an appointment online with another salon. Nobody packed up their stuff and left in that 45 minutes And from what I could see, nobody was packing. Still girls outside taking a break. If you can’t come in in the last 3 hours, that should be advertised where you post hours. My question is, if they had time to cut my hair if I had an appointment, why not time for a walk in.
Scheduled a perm. Had a new girl who had never done a perm before and another girl that was told to help her. While the new person was very careful and nice, the other girl was more concerned with complaining about Murphy being the devil and making her do perms. She was not careful at all and was pulling my hair out. I will never go back there because of her.
I went here on someone's recommendation. I dont typically leave negative reviews, but I hope that someone at the business reads this one. While it was half the price of a salon pedicure, it was still not worth the money. The girl was friendly, but she did a terrible job. Even admitting she "was messy". She didn't fully remove my original (non-gel) polish. Then she wasn't allowed to clip my nails, which being a school I understand, but I am terrible at cutting them myself. They let me use their clippers and I did trim them myself with her assuring me that they would look good after she filed them. She literally spent less than 3 seconds filing each one. They are all over the place. Then she pushes back my cuticles and uses cuticle trimmers. She was tugging and pulling and it the first time in my history of pedicures that it hurt. I am confused on why they cant trim my nails, but CAN use the cuticle scissors? Even though there was a foot file out, she never even took it out of its package. She just rubbed some exfoliating cream on my legs then washed it off and followed with lotion. She then very briefly buffed the top of my nails to prep for base coat. Which she proceeded to apply WITHOUT wiping off the dust from the buff?!? The polish is all over my toes and she missed a spot on one of my big toes. I am going to have to redo them myself immediately. Now, I didn't complain about any of this to her. She isnt even 19 yet. And I left her a very large tip. However, this is the part I hope someone at the school reads: How is she supposed to learn with absolutely ZERO oversight or supervision? She did double check the nail clipping policy with an instructor, but that instructor was never seen again. How is she going to learn to do better without guidance and encouragement? I 100% fault the school for this and not the individual technician.
My stylist Olivia was amazing and I would go see her anytime, anywhere but here. The instructors are nice to your face but if you close your eyes while getting your hair washed or blow dryer they will call the cops on you. Nice to be treated like a criminal for getting my hair done. I will let everybody I know that I had this experience and I hope you’re happy with how this school is run because if I was in charge I would really reconsider my choices. Again, great stylist, I feel so sorry for what these students go through.
I went into the shop on Tuesday October 21st to have a perm done at 1:00pm the girls in the instructor started putting rods in my hair. Then the other instructor Murphy comes over playing with my hair then she comes up by my ear and tells me I have nits and they can’t do my hair today. Well to find out I didn’t have nits I went and got my hair done at another place so you will not have my business anymore. I am very disappointed the way I was treated. It was like she didn’t want me there and she didn’t want to do my hair, which is very wrong.
