Wonderful experience! Lauren happened to post about the school and the services. Luckily right page, right time and I saw it. I would have never known. Well worth the drive from Sussex County. Lauren was fabulous and so professional. She made herself available, answered all questions and made my daughter’s appointment for her. She had highlights, a long overdue cut and blowout done for an amazing price. Michelle did such a great job and my daughter and I are thrilled with how beautiful her hair turned out. Thank you to everyone that made this such a good experience for my girl, you are all very much appreciated.

Coming to Artistic Academy was the best decision I have ever made. From day one my teachers have been extremely supportive and dedicated to helping us succeed. I have learned so much throughout my time here, especially in our Student Salon where we get hands=on experience with real clients. Being able to bring in my own clients has helped me gain confidence, improve my skills, and help prepare for a real career in the beauty industry. The environment here is always extremely positive and uplifting, and I'm beyond grateful for everything this school has taught me. Ms. Carla, Ms. Dana, Ms. Alisha, Ms. Rejoice, and Ms. Cherrita are my biggest inspirations and without them, and this school, I don't know where I would be. If you're looking for a school where you can learn it all, and gain all the confidence as well, this is it. I love this school and I am so sad to be graduating in a month. Best school ever.

Love this school! So much opportunity to learn with classes, clients, demos, color days, design days and so much more. If you genuinely desire to be in the cosmetology industry this school is for you.

I recently graduated from artistic, and also just got my license! If you’re looking for a school to go to I promise this is the one to pick. When I started state board was closed and everyone thought it was going to be as easy as securing a job to be licensed, my teachers Mrs. Lauren and Ms.beldry, did everything to prepare us for ANYTHING. Ibeing nervous when Stateboard opened back up, and having to go for the practical, once I started I’ve never felt so confident and prepared and my teachers are to thank for it. They taught us proper manners, techniques, cleanliness that go into this industry. They answered every single question we all had. I’ve don’t think I’ve ever met two teachers more prepared for what students can throw at them, or two teachers who love teaching so much. Mrs. Lauren is so knowledgeable about the products and Ms.Beldry is literally a magician when it comes to makeup. This school is worth the extra price and commute.

Artistic was an excellent choice for my esthetics education. From the teachers to the staffing to the education I received, it truly was a blessing to find a school so devoted to my education. They give me the skills and tools to succeed in my new career. And from receiving the best schooling, I was able to open my own day spa shortly after leaving school. The school is still so supportive of my career and when I go back to get my hair done by the Cosmo girls, which always do an excellent job, they ask me about my spa and give me even more tips to succeed. I cannot be more grateful for this school!

My experience at Artistic Academy was incredibly positive from the start. The environment was welcoming, supportive, and truly focused on helping students succeed. I had Mrs. Beldry and because of patience and teaching style I am able to succeed. She explained everything clearly, took time to answer questions, and made sure every student felt confident and prepared. Her passion for teaching and the industry showed every day in class. I learned so much under her guidance and always felt encouraged to do my best. I’m grateful for the experience and would highly recommend Artistic’s to anyone pursuing beauty education.

Do Not Waste Your Time or Money - Terrible Esthetics Program I’m writing this review to warn future estheticians: do NOT waste your time or money at this school. The program is overpriced, poorly run, and offers very little real-world experience. The most important issue: The student clinic is nearly always empty. We had many days with zero clients booked. Without clients, we weren’t getting hands-on experience - the most critical part of our training. Services were overpriced, poorly advertised, and there was no support to help us build real practice. We were left sitting around or forced to repeat the same services on each other just to meet hour requirements. Other serious concerns: -Uneven class sizes and restrictions on working with students from other groups limited practice opportunities even further. -No access to the library or proper study materials. Students were told they couldn’t use the space and couldn’t borrow books. -Safety was a concern - doors were often left unlocked all day, and anyone could walk into the building. -Broken sinks, water leaking onto the floor, and no hot water on many days. Proper sanitation was difficult because of these issues — not acceptable in a skincare setting. -No refrigerator, even though we were there for up to 8 hours a day. Students were expected to go without proper food storage all day. With high tuition, there should be basic amenities. -Steamers were cheap and malfunctioning. We were instructed to use distilled water, but only had access to tap water. This led to frequent mineral buildup and broken machines. -Just days before graduation, the school changed its reward card program - suddenly doubling the number of points needed for products. We were told it was because of “inflation,” but it felt dishonest and inconsiderate. Many students had saved up points for months, only to be told they were now worth half as much, right before finishing the program. This school is disorganized, outdated, and clearly more focused on collecting tuition than training professionals.

Literally a horrible experience. Felt like highschool with all of the unnecessary drama and clicks. Teachers chose favorites and it was obvious and respect was not always returned. Left crying multiple times. And they literally have fees for every little thing.

First and last time I’ll be going here. Booked a SERVICE appointment where this school offers CLIENT PAID SERVICES. Went in for balayage. Which means: ROOTS NOT TOUCHED. Showed pic of what I wanted and any other details I wanted. Students were insanely sweet. The professor. Didn’t check her name, but I know her face. She took over the service. She was actually rude as hell. No accountability for her actions. And also, REALLY rude to the student who was working on me as well. Completely bleached my roots out. I came out overly yellow. I was visibly upset. She noticed and asked why I was upset. And I show her the same picture I had originally shown her when i was pulled for my seat. Long story short, she was telling me “that isn’t a salon”. Then what am I paying a service for you? To have you burn my hair off for fun? I told her I had a trip the following day and asked her how she could help me. Her response for her decision to for whatever reason bleached my roots for a balayage is beyond me: “it’s not my fault that you have a trip”. What a terrible terrible “teacher” for your students to learn from. She and another “professor” were yelling louder than I was, mind you I was balling my eyes out. Instead of helping me for her own actions that she took upon herself, they were “gonna call the cops”. I had to find another salon that could help me in any way possible to fix HER MISTAKE. REAL professional. I left the student a tip in cash. Not sure if the “professor” gave the girl the money. But this professor needs a class lesson on better decision making. LOL.
