Duties
Provide a wide range of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, and hair extensions to meet each client’s unique needs.
Perform specialized treatments such as eyelash extensions, hair threading, and makeup application to enhance client beauty routines.
Utilize salon software like Square for scheduling appointments, managing client profiles, and processing retail sales efficiently.
Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, sterilizing equipment, and adhering to health regulations to ensure a safe environment.
Assist with retail sales by recommending hair care products, upselling services, and managing inventory using retail math principles.
Offer expert advice on color theory and current trends to educate clients about their options and promote repeat business.
Mentor junior team members in hair styling techniques, customer service excellence, and salon operations to foster a collaborative atmosphere.
Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, booking appointments, handling inquiries, and supporting store management tasks.
Requirements
Valid cosmetology or barbering license in accordance with state regulations.
Proven experience in hair styling, coloring, and advanced techniques such as straight razor shaves or hair extensions.
Strong communication skills to connect effectively with clients and team members alike.
Knowledge of salon software systems like Square for appointment scheduling and client management.
Demonstrated ability in sanitation practices to uphold health standards within the salon environment.
Experience in retail sales, upselling strategies, and retail math for maximizing product recommendations.
Familiarity with additional beauty services such as nail care, makeup application, eyelash extensions, and hair threading is a plus.
Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
