Role Description
The MJ Treatment is currently seeking a Licensed Massage Therapist to join our growing team in the Bronx.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who is passionate about wellness, enjoys helping clients feel their best, and takes pride in delivering high-quality massage services in a professional spa environment.

We are looking for therapists who are dependable, client-focused, and comfortable working with a variety of massage modalities and client needs.

Responsibilities
• Perform massage therapy services based on client needs
• Conduct client consultations and recommend appropriate services
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout treatment areas
• Deliver a professional and welcoming client experience
• Complete treatment notes and service documentation
• Follow all applicable health and safety standards
Requirements
• Valid New York State Massage Therapy License or Permit
• Ability to obtain or maintain liability malpractice insurance
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a professional spa environment
• Ability to perform the essential job functions of this role with or without reasonable accommodation, including providing massage services, standing for extended periods, and maintaining a professional spa environment
Preferred Skills
• Swedish massage
• Deep tissue massage
• Hot stone massage
• Cupping therapy
• Prenatal massage
• Sports massage
• Reiki is a plus
Compensation
Compensation is based on services performed and paid per session, not hourly employment.

Average earnings range from approximately $35–$40 per service/session depending on experience and services provided.

Additional commission opportunities may be available.

Work Structure
This opportunity is structured as an independent contractor (1099) relationship. Contractors maintain control over their schedules and are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and related business expenses.
