The Role
Overview
Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid.
Summary
The Licensed Massage Therapists will perform injury prevention and mitigation, rehabilitation exercise services, and human performance optimization services to Military personnel.
Responsibilities
• Perform injury evaluations to identify painful or tense areas of the body.
• Perform various type of massages and provide guidance on stretching, strengthening, and relaxation techniques.
• Perform services specialized to meet the specific spinal health needs.
• Document client's conditions and progress.
• Clean and sanitize the workspace and equipment.
• Suggest future appointments and wellness regimes to clients.
• Maintain a safe and relaxing environment for clients.
Qualifications
• Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with current certification to practice legally.
• Knowledge of various massage techniques and the ability to assess patient needs accurately.
• Excellent patient communication skills with the ability to educate clients about treatment options and pain management strategies.
• Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and patient assessment procedures.
• Knowledge of Human Performance optimization
