Licensed Cosmetologist (hourly + commission)

Job Summary:

Garden Gate Day Spa & Salon located in Los Lunas, NM is seeking a skilled, compassionate, & experieinced cosmetologist to deliver exceptional salon and spa treatments. The ideal candidate is passionate about beauty and wellness, consistently demonstrates technical excellence, and thrives in a team-oriented environment where attention to detail and personalized care are paramount.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain salon equipment and treatment areas in pristine, hygienic condition each day
• Style hair to match client preferences, applying expert knowledge of current techniques and trends
• Perform chemical services including color, highlights, relaxers, and perms with accuracy and care
• Provide a full range of spa services such as facial, manicures, pedicures, waxing, and body treatments
• Understand and safely apply beauty service chemicals and procedures
• Anticipate and respond to client needs with warmth, sensitivity, and professionalism
• Complete service documentation and client notes thoroughly and consistently

Qualifications:
• Current cosmetology license issued by the State of New Mexico
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build lasting client relationships
• Previous experience in salon/spa settings preferred
• A commitment to excellence, customer care, and continuous skill development

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
