Role Description This is a full-time or part-time commission based or chair rental, on-site Hairstylist role based at Leslie's Hair Salon in Huntington, NY. The Hairstylist will provide a variety of hair services, including cutting, styling, coloring, treatments, and basic hair care for clients of different hair types and preferences. Day-to-day responsibilities include consulting with clients to understand their needs, recommending suitable styles and products, and performing services in line with salon standards and safety practices. The Hairstylist will maintain a clean and organized workstation, support overall salon cleanliness, and contribute to a positive, professional atmosphere. The role also includes building strong client relationships, managing appointment times effectively, and supporting the salon team when needed.

Qualifications

Proficient in Hair Styling and Hair Care, with the ability to work with various hair types and styles.Familiarity with current hair trends and techniques.Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on delivering a welcoming and professional client experience.Effective Communication skills to conduct consultations, explain services, and provide product and aftercare recommendations.Valid cosmetology license in New York State.Ability to stand for extended periods, manage multiple appointments, and work in a fast-paced salon environment.Reliability, punctuality, and a collaborative attitude toward working with the salon team.Must have your own clientele, looking to build more.
