The Role
Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cosmetology or barbering, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service and create stunning hairstyles that meet our clients' needs. This role requires creativity, technical skills, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Responsibilities
Provide a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments tailored to client preferences.
Utilize advanced techniques such as hair extensions, hair threading, and straight razor cuts to enhance client satisfaction.
Maintain an organized and clean work environment in accordance with salon standards.
Build strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service and effective communication.
Mentor junior stylists and assist in training new team members on salon software and best practices.
Manage appointments using MINDBODY or similar salon software to ensure efficient scheduling.
Conduct retail sales by utilizing retail math skills to recommend products that complement the services provided.
Qualifications
Valid cosmetology or barbering license as required by state regulations.
Proficiency in various hair styling techniques and familiarity with current trends.
Experience with salon software systems, preferably MINDBODY.
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Ability to mentor others and share knowledge effectively.
Knowledge of retail math is a plus for managing product sales.
Previous experience in a salon environment is preferred but not mandatory.
