About Us

Johnny Rodriguez The Salon is an upscale, award-winning Dallas salon, regularly recognized as one of the city's top salons by publications including D Magazine and the Dallas Observer. Our story began right here in the Preston Center area, where Johnny opened his very first salon — and we're proud to plant new roots back in this prestigious neighborhood as we rebuild our Dallas location on Sherry Lane from the ground up.

This rebuild is more than a renovation — it's a fresh start in the neighborhood where it all began, and an opportunity for stylists to join us at the very beginning of something special.

The Preston Center and Preston Hollow area is one of Dallas's most established and affluent shopping districts, home to a loyal, discerning clientele and tremendous potential for a stylist looking to build a thriving, high-value book of business. This is an exciting opportunity to grow with us in a location rich with both history and opportunity.

The Role

As a Hair Stylist, you'll provide a full range of services to our clients, including cuts, color, extensions, treatments — or all of the above. You'll have the opportunity to grow your book of business while advancing through our level-based commission structure, all within a luxury salon environment.

Our brand is built on a polished, upscale experience, and every member of our team is expected to look the part. This is a non-negotiable part of the role:
• All stylists must arrive impeccably groomed and professionally dressed for an upscale setting, every shift
• This means being dressed up, with hair styled and overall appearance polished and put-together
• Your personal presentation should reflect the high-end experience our clients expect

Compensation & Growth
• Level-based commission starting at 40%, increasing in 2% increments as you hit performance goals, with a cap of 50%
• Clear, achievable path to grow your earnings as you grow your clientele
• Established, affluent area with strong potential to build a high-value book of business

Schedule
• Full-time and part-time positions available
• Split shifts are part of the role
• Primarily PM shifts, with a few AM shifts available

Requirements
• Active Texas Cosmetology License (required)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a hair stylist
• Proficiency in cuts, color, extensions, and/or treatments
• A polished, professional appearance consistent with an upscale salon
• Strong customer service skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
