The Role
FM Hair Studio is growing! Our newly expanded, independently owned salon has two additional styling stations, and we’re looking for hairstylists who care about their craft, their clients, and being part of a team.
Whether you’re newer to the industry or bringing years of experience, we’d love to hear about your goals and what you’re looking for in your next salon.
About FM
Our owner, Amy, is focused on helping our stylists grow in confidence, strengthen their skills, and build careers they’re proud of. We value clear communication, respect, and everyone contributing to a welcoming salon experience.
Our updated space features new styling chairs, illuminated mirrors, and a comfortable setting for you and your guests.
What you’ll do
• Provide personalized consultations, haircuts, color, and styling services within your skill set.
• Help guests maintain their results with home-care recommendations.
• Build client relationships through thoughtful service and consistent follow-through.
• Keep your station clean and contribute to shared salon responsibilities.
• Participate in team communication, feedback, and ongoing learning.
Who we’re looking for
• A hairstylist with an active Illinois cosmetology license.
• Someone dependable, professional, and open to feedback.
• A stylist who enjoys connecting with guests and working alongside others.
• Someone motivated to keep learning and grow their clientele.
Position details
• Schedule: Full-time or part-time availability
• Compensation: Commission
• Benefits: Paid vacation
