Hairstylist/Cosmetologist

OVERVIEW

The Contracted Hairstylist provides professional hair care services to residents in a compassionate, respectful, and person-centered manner. Services may include haircuts, styling, shampooing, basic hair treatments, and other agreed-upon salon services while promoting residents' comfort, dignity, and well-being.

Responsibilities:
• Provide quality hair care services in a safe and sanitary environment.
• Treat all residents with kindness, patience, and respect.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with applicable health and safety standards.
• Coordinate appointments with the community as needed and maintain a reliable schedule.
• Supply and maintain personal tools and products required to perform services unless otherwise agreed.
• Comply with all community policies regarding resident privacy, safety, infection control, and professional conduct.
• Maintain a current cosmetology license and any required insurance as applicable.

This is an independent contractor position. The hairstylist is not an employee of the assisted living community and is responsible for managing their own licensing, taxes, insurance, and business expenses.
