I have been going to Hair Style Salon for over a year now. Vern is terrific! He is a certified Redken colorist and always does a great job coloring and cutting my hair. The salon is small, just Vern, Julie and Brian, the owner. They are Covid compliant (take your temperature, wear masks, always sanitizing). I work in healthcare and I feel very safe there. It's in a redone old house so it's very relaxing and low key. Definitely recommend these guys!

Just went to Hair Style Salon at 4500 Bell for the first time. Extremely impressed with the COVID-19 screening upon arrival and all precautions taken during my appointment. Julie greets you upon arrival and very friendly. Vern, my stylist, did a marvelous color and cut. Brian, the owner of the salon introduced himself and very engaging. I am so glad to have found them on the Nextdoor website.

I felt very safe going to this salon thanks to their strict health and safety protocols. Only one client and stylist are allowed in the building at a time. Everything is disinfected in between clients and both you and the stylist wear PPE the entire time. Vern was such a good listener! He gave me a perfect style to flatter my hair type, face shape, and it is low maintenance for my mom-on-the-go lifestyle. Plus he recommended an amazing Redken spray that keeps my hair from becoming a poof-ball in the Kansas humidity. I can’t wait to get my next haircut!
