Nywele Salon is seeking a motivated and talented Hair Braider / Natural Hair Stylist to join our growing salon team in Chicago.

We are a professional salon specializing in natural hair care, braiding, healthy hair services, and beauty education. We are looking for a stylist who is passionate about their craft, committed to customer service, and ready to grow their clientele in a supportive salon environment.

Responsibilities
• Provide professional braiding services including:
• Knotless braids
• Box braids
• Cornrows
• Feed-in braids
• Crochet braids
• Faux locs
• Senegalese twists
• Goddess braids
• Marley twists
• Stitch braids
• Natural styles
• Consult with clients to understand their desired hairstyle and hair goals.
• Maintain speed, quality, and attention to detail.
• Maintain a clean workstation and contribute to salon cleanliness.
• Promote services through Instagram and social media to build clientele.
• Follow salon policies regarding professionalism, punctuality, and teamwork.
• Maintain excellent customer service and client relationships.

Qualifications
• Illinois Hair Braiding License or Cosmetology License (or currently testing).
• Portfolio or Instagram page showing your braiding work.
• Experience working with natural and textured hair.
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
• Ability to build and maintain your own clientele.
• Professional attitude and positive team spirit.

Compensation

Nywele Salon offers:
• $20/hour plus training pay (Workforce Program) must commit to work here minimum 2 years
• Commission incentives for service revenue
