Licensed Hairstylist/Cosmetologists Job Description

How Pay is Measured/Determined for Licensed Hair Stylist/Cosmetologist

Given our number of customers, the average stylist at Great Clips – Staten Island, NY can expect to make between $2400 - $4000 per month when working fulltime (at least 35 hours a week) . Pay is a combination of the following:

Current cosmetology or barber license as required by NY regulationsCommitment to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and eveningsDedication to great customer serviceCommitment to follow the 5 Steps to Customer Care with every customer, every time, in every salonAbility to cut hair for an extended period and provide quality haircuts in a fast-paced environmentSkill to listen and understand what the customer wantsAbility to efficiently and effectively resolve customer issuesSkill to use a computer to track customer informationAbility to read and speak English

Licensed Hair Stylist/Cosmetologist Physical Requirements

Reaching: extending hand(s) and arm(s) primarily at or above the shoulderStanding: particularly for sustained periods of timeFrequent washing of handsBe able to lift up to 35 lbs.Hazards may include, but are not limited to, slippingRepetitive motions: substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingersWe are looking for Licensed Hair Stylist/Cosmetologists who are TEAM ORIENTED!
