Certified Massage Therapist

We're hiring!!! We're looking to create a team of talented bodyworkers, PTs and wellness practitioners to bring care to the Jamaica Plain community, to begin in January 2026.

"The Treatment Room" @mikesfitnessjp will be offering massage therapy, sports massage, cupping, dry needling, and various other wellness modalities. This will be open to all members of Mike's and the whole community!

All of our team members will have complete access to all of our facilities, including the weight room. We offer flexible hours, and above industry pay (plus tips!). We value our worker's time, and hope to provide a space where we all grow and thrive as a unit.

We're located in the storied Samuel Adams brewery in the heart of Jamaica Plain, with a vast 15,000sq ft of weight equipment.

The ideal candidate will provide exceptional therapeutic massage services designed to promote relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment focused on patient care and health improvement. Applicants should possess strong customer service skills and a thorough understanding of human physiology to deliver personalized treatments tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate massage techniques and treatment plans.
• Perform various massage modalities including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address specific pain points and muscle tension.
• Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to ensure safe and effective treatments.
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and recommend exercises or stretches when appropriate.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for clients in accordance with occupational health standards.
• Document treatment details accurately in patient records while respecting confidentiality protocols.
• Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills.

Requirements
• Valid state licensure or certification as a Massage Therapist.
• Proven experience in patient service, with a focus on pain management and relaxation techniques.
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy.
• Experience with deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other advanced modalities preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to assess individual client needs effectively.
• Background in occupational health or med spa experience is advantageous.
• Ability to work professionally in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to industry standards for safety and hygiene.
