About the Role

We are seeking a polished, personable, and results-driven **Beauty & Wellness Brand Ambassador** to represent **Apothékary**, a premium plant-based wellness brand, inside **Ulta Beauty in Columbus, OH**. Apothékary creates clean, alcohol-free herbal and adaptogen blends — tinctures and powders inspired by Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Japanese Kampo, and Western herbalism — designed to support everyday needs like stress, sleep, energy, and balance.

As the face of the brand in-store, you will educate customers, drive sales, and build lasting relationships with both shoppers and the Ulta retail team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about clean, plant-based wellness who thrives in a refined retail environment and enjoys working independently.

Schedule

- Flexible, contract-based shifts — **approximately once per month, 5-hour shifts** (typically weekends and peak retail hours)

- Shift length and frequency confirmed per assignment

- Advance scheduling through the Vérité Talent portal

Responsibilities

- Represent Apothékary with enthusiasm, warmth, and professionalism on the retail floor

- Approach and engage customers, offering personalized wellness consultations and product education on herbal blends and adaptogens

- Perform live product demonstrations and recommend routines suited to each customer's needs (stress, sleep, energy, focus, and more)

- Drive brand awareness and sales through authentic, informed storytelling

- Build and maintain strong relationships with Ulta store teams and beauty advisors

- Maintain an organized, well-stocked, and visually appealing brand display

- Submit a post-shift field report (sales, units, customer feedback, stock levels, and photos) through the Vérité Talent portal

- Represent Vérité Talent and the brand with the highest standards of grooming and conduct

Qualifications

- Prior experience in beauty retail, brand ambassador, wellness, esthetics, or specialty retail roles (preferred)

- Strong knowledge of or genuine passion for clean beauty, wellness, adaptogens, or herbal supplements

- Confident, approachable, and customer-focused communication style

- Proven ability to drive sales and hit or exceed goals

- Reliable, punctual, and professional in all client-facing interactions

- Able to work independently with minimal supervision

- Comfortable using a smartphone to submit digital reports and photos

- Existing relationships with Ulta Beauty teams a plus

Compensation & Status

- **1099 Independent Contractor** — contractors are responsible for their own taxes

- Payment processed **bi-weekly via direct deposit**

- Flexible, self-managed schedule
