Job Summary
HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, invites applications for Adjunct Instructors in Theatre and Film Makeup. Adjuncts are appointed on a semester basis to provide high-quality academic instruction and student support. Instructors are responsible for developing and delivering course content that aligns with the college’s learning outcomes, maintaining consistency in instruction, and adhering to institutional policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Film or Theatre

• Candidates must present completed clearances and training certificates at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications
• Prior teaching experience
• Professional experience in the film or theatre industry
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
• Participate in faculty orientation (for initial assignments) and all required departmental meetings and trainings.
• Prepare course materials and assessments that align with Course Form 335 and departmental standards.
Movies
• Submit syllabi for departmental review and approval by the stated deadline.
• Attend and conduct all scheduled classes and exams punctually, maintaining engagement throughout the assigned time.
• Complete attendance monitoring, midterm, and final grade reporting within established deadlines.
• Maintain one office hour per week for each three-credit course taught and respond promptly to student inquiries.
• Contribute to institutional assessment initiatives by submitting student work samples and participating in review discussions.
Make-Up & Cosmetics
• Regularly check and respond to HACC email and voicemail within two business days.
• Participate in the adjunct faculty evaluation and classroom observation process.
• Adhere to policies regarding attendance, leave reporting, ADA/Section 504 accommodations, Title IX compliance, and professional conduct.
• Notify the School Dean of any planned absences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
