In Home Salon Professional

Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled NH Licensed Cosmetologist/Salon Professional to provide professional haircutting and basic grooming services to hospice patients in the comfort of their homes or care facilities. This role is ideal for a licensed cosmetologist or barber with a heart for service, excellent interpersonal skills, and a desire to make a meaningful difference in patients' final stages of life. This position is 10 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule appointments and travel to the homes or care facilities of hospice patients
• Provide gentle, personalized haircuts, and trims and some basic grooming
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, following all health and safety guidelines
• Communicate respectfully and empathetically with patients, families, and care/facility staff
• Adapt services to meet the physical and emotional needs of patients
• Maintain accurate scheduling and brief service documentation
• Respect patient dignity, privacy, and cultural or personal preferences

Requirements:
• Valid New Hampshire Cosmetology or Barbering License
• Proven experience in haircutting and grooming
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the Monadnock Region
• Excellent bedside manner and comfort working with individuals facing serious illness
• Ability to work independently and with sensitivity to diverse physical and emotional needs

Preferred Experience:
• Prior experience working with elderly or terminally ill clients
• Background in hospice, home care, or healthcare settings
