Salon Stylist Assistant

We are looking for a Hair Salon Assistant to help with all operations of the salon. We are happy to train and teach this hire to eventually become a stylist at Brushed.


Hours vary but are between 9am- 8pm Monday-Saturday


Hair Salon Assistants primary responsibilities include shampooing clients and maintaining cleanliness of the salon.


Our ideal candidate for this position is someone who has worked in a salon before and is experienced in shampooing clients.


We will assist in becoming a successful stylist and will hold educational classes if desired.


Responsibilities


Sanitize work stations, clean salon, greet clients when they arrive


Answering the phone to book appointments, check out clients after services are completed.


Shampoo clients and apply toners.


Sweep hair, take out trash and keep salon and bathroom clean



Ensure day-to-day salon operations run smoothly
Chat with customers, learn their preferences and build good relationships
Monitor stock of beauty products

Desired Skills



Worked or has experience as a Hair Stylist Assistant / shampoo assistant
Experience in customer service is a plus
Up-to-date with hair trends
Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage appointment books and schedule appointments is a plus

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
