Job Summary

NuVée Aesthetics is hiring a skilled, client-obsessed Licensed Esthetician to join our growing, high-end med-spa in Durham. This is a commission-based position with flexible hours and clear room to grow your book. You’ll deliver exceptional treatments, educate clients, support a seamless studio experience, and help us create buzzworthy results on and off camera.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
• Perform esthetic services within licensure/scope: customized facials, chemical peels, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, acne management protocols, extractions, LED light therapy, radio-frequency/skin tightening (device-based), lymphatic/contouring facials, etc
• Body care add-ons: assist with non-invasive body sculpting/contouring devices, sauna blanket sessions, and post-care education (training provided).
• Treatment planning: perform skin consultations, set goals, obtain informed consent, capture before/after photos, and document care thoroughly.
• Retail & rebooking: recommend homecare, build curated product routines, upsell add-ons, and rebook clients to maximize results and retention.
• Guest experience: greet clients, run on time, resolve concerns with empathy, and maintain a luxury, welcoming vibe.
• Sanitation & safety: follow state board standards, OSHA/BBP, device logs, room turnover, and clean-room etiquette.
• Front-of-house support: assist with scheduling, confirmations, payment, and membership/package explanations using our booking/CRM tools (e.g., Jane, Mindbody, or GoHighLevel—training provided).
• Brand & content: collaborate on social media (reels, stories, UGC), client education, and event pop-ups; represent NuVée professionally on camera (optional but encouraged).
• Team collaboration: work closely with RNs/NPs for cross-referrals (e.g., acne patients to medical weight-loss or vitamin shots when appropriate); escalate medical concerns to providers promptly.

Note: Injectable services (tox/filler/IVs) are performed by licensed medical providers. Estheticians do not inject; you’ll support client education and referrals. What We’re Looking For (Requirements)
• Active North Carolina Esthetician License (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• 1+ year of professional esthetics experience preferred (new grads with strong portfolios considered).
• Confident with facials, peels, dermaplaning, extractions, LED, and willing to learn body-contouring devices.
• Strong sales/rebooking instincts and comfort recommending homecare.
• Excellent communication, bedside manner, and service recovery skills.
• Impeccable sanitation and attention to detail; reliable and punctual.
• Tech-friendly (scheduling software, digital forms, basic social media).
• Able to work independently and as part of a high-performance team.

Nice-to-Haves
• Experience with acne programs, hyperpigmentation protocols, or sensitive-skin care.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
• On-camera comfort for short-form content.

Compensation & Schedule
• Commission-based position at a growing practice (tiered commissions on services + retail; discussed during interview).
