Duties
• Perform a variety of barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and hair styling using professional techniques and tools such as straight razors and scissors.
• Provide expert consultations on hair care, hair coloring, hair extensions, and grooming styles to meet individual client preferences.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas, adhering strictly to health regulations and safety protocols.
• Utilize salon software like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking to ensure seamless service flow.
• Engage with clients through effective communication skills, understanding their needs and offering personalized recommendations for products like hair care or nail care items.
• Upsell retail products such as hair styling products or makeup applications to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.
• Assist with front desk duties including appointment bookings, client check-ins, and managing the overall flow of the salon environment.
• Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in areas like eyelash extensions, hair threading, or advanced coloring techniques to foster a collaborative atmosphere.

Experience
• Valid cosmetology or barbering license with current certification to practice professionally.
• Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong background in hair styling, coloring (including color theory), and haircutting techniques such as using a straight razor.
• Familiarity with salon software systems like MINDBODY for scheduling and retail management.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices for maintaining a clean work environment.
• Experience providing exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients about their grooming needs and preferences.
• Skilled in retail sales techniques including upselling products related to hair care, nail care, or makeup application.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail across multiple services such as hair extensions or eyelash extensions.
